Our Story
B&S Boarding & Grooming has been a part of the Avon community since 1974, when Bob and Shirley Goodnight (the original "B&S"!) opened their doors on a family farm with a simple idea: give local pets a safe, comfortable place to stay.
Over five decades, that idea grew into something much bigger. Families came back year after year, staff became like family, and the kennel became a fixture in the community. The kind of place where the staff knows your dog by name and your pet actually gets excited on the drive over. We proudly serve many third generation clients!
Today, B&S is believed to be the oldest continuously operating business in Avon - an accomplishment we don't take lightly. A lot has changed since 1974, but the things that matter most haven't: attentive care, honest service, and a genuine love for every animal that walks through our doors.
Our facility is managed by Nick, who started helping out at B&S at age six when his family owned the business, and has had a gift with animals ever since!
