What is a temperament evaluation and do I need it?

A temperament evaluation is a meet-and-greet assessment completed by one of our trained staff members. We'll ask a few questions about your dog, then introduce them gradually to a small group of well-balanced dogs in a calm, controlled setting. As your dog gets comfortable, we'll slowly integrate them into the main play group. Plan to leave your dog for a minimum of 3 hours for the evaluation. We generally run these from 9 AM to 12 PM.

A temperament evaluation is required for all new dogs participating in group daycare or group play, and for any dog returning after a 6-month gap. We reserve the right to require additional evaluations if behavioral concerns arise.

Dogs boarding or doing private daycare only do not need a temperament evaluation unless they are joining group activities.

What happens if my dog doesn't pass the temperament evaluation?

Not every dog is a fit for group play - and that's completely okay. If your dog is close but not quite ready, we may recommend some additional training or socialization before returning for a re-evaluation. In the meantime, private daycare or individual playtime sessions are great alternatives that we'd be happy to set up.

What is the difference between full and half-day daycare?

Half-day daycare includes one session per day - either the morning session (starting at 9:30 AM) or the afternoon session (starting at 2 PM), available Monday through Saturday.

Full-day daycare includes both sessions.

Drop-off is anytime after 8 AM and pick-up is by 6 PM, or by 4 PM on Saturdays.

Does my dog have to be spayed or neutered?

Yes, for the safety of Daycare and Group Play, all dogs must be spayed or neutered by the time they are 6 months old.

Does my dog need a fecal test?

A fecal test is only required if your dog is participating in group activities such as Daycare or Group Play, and is required every 6 months for the health of the pack. We do offer these in-house at a rate that is usually the same or cheaper than vets.

What do you do in case of illness or injury?

If your pet ever needs medical attention, our team acts quickly and consults with a veterinary provider to determine the best course of care. We work closely with local veterinary clinics and will always make every effort to bring your pet to their regular vet when possible. In urgent situations, we will transport your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic without hesitation. Throughout any situation, we keep you informed every step of the way.
