What is a temperament evaluation?

A temperament evaluation is a meet-and-greet assessment completed by one of our trained staff members. We'll ask a few questions about your dog, then introduce them gradually to a small group of well-balanced dogs in a calm, controlled setting. As your dog gets comfortable, we'll slowly integrate them into the main play group. Plan to leave your dog for a minimum of 3 hours for the evaluation. We generally run these from 9 AM to 12 PM.

A temperament evaluation is required for all new dogs participating in group daycare or group play, and for any dog returning after a 6-month gap. We reserve the right to require additional evaluations if behavioral concerns arise.

Dogs boarding or doing private daycare only do not need a temperament evaluation unless they are joining group activities.

What happens if my dog doesn’t pass the temperament evaluation?

Not every dog is a fit for group play - and that's completely okay. If your dog is close but not quite ready, we may recommend some additional training or socialization before returning for a re-evaluation. In the meantime, private daycare or individual playtime sessions are great alternatives that we'd be happy to set up.

What vaccinations are required?

Dogs: Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella are required. K9 Influenza and fecal tests every 6 months are recommended. We can do fecal tests in house!
Cats:
Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline Leukemia required
For small animals: Only ferrets require Rabies and Distemper.
Minimum Age:
8 weeks with immunization series started
Spay/Neuter:
Required only for group daycare and group play (dogs 6 months and older)

How old does my dog have to be?

Dogs must be at least 8 weeks old to attend. They must have started their puppy immunization series and be current on all age-appropriate vaccinations. This helps keep your puppy and the other dogs in our care safe.

What are the drop-off and pick-up times?

You may drop off or pick up your dog any time during our open hours.

For daycare, we recommend dropping off before the start of your dog’s session so they can get the most out of their day. Our morning daycare session starts at 9:30 AM, and our afternoon daycare session starts at 2 PM.

For boarding, charges are based on calendar days. The day your pet checks in counts as the first day of boarding. Each additional day is also a boarding day. However, if you pick up before noon, you will not be charged for that final day.

What kind of experience do the employees have who take care of the dogs?

Many of our team members come to us with prior hands-on experience caring for dogs. Every employee also completes our in-house training program covering dog behavior, safe group play, and daycare management. Most importantly, our staff members are patient, attentive, and genuinely love working with dogs.

How often do you clean the facilities?

We clean throughout the day, every day. Our team follows strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols across our kennel, daycare, and grooming areas, with regular cleaning of play areas, overnight spaces, food and water bowls, and bedding. Waste is cleaned up promptly as it happens, and deeper disinfecting is completed daily to help keep the facility clean, safe, and healthy for every pet in our care.

Do dogs ever get hurt?

We monitor pets closely and do everything we can to keep them safe and comfortable during daycare, boarding, and playtime. Minor things like small scratches, nicks, or irritation can occasionally happen in a pet care environment, but they are rare. If you notice anything after your pet’s stay, please let us know so we can look into it and help however we can.

What do you do in case of illness or injury?

If your pet ever needs medical attention, our team acts quickly and consults with a veterinary provider to determine the best course of care. We work closely with local veterinary clinics and will always make every effort to bring your pet to their regular vet when possible. In urgent situations, we will transport your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic without hesitation. Throughout any situation, we keep you informed every step of the way.

Can I take a tour?

Absolutely! We offer tours any time during our normal business hours.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, check, and cash payments.

Do you offer a discount for boarding multiple pets?

Yes! We offer discounts for boarding multiple pets and private daycare as well.

Does my dog have to be spayed or neutered?

It depends on the services you are looking for. Spay or neuter is not required for boarding or private daycare. However, for the safety of dogs participating in group daycare or group play, all dogs must be spayed or neutered by the time they are 6 months old.

Can you provide my dog with their medications?

Absolutely! There is no charge for medications and/or supplements. Please provide detailed instructions at time of check-in.

Daycare
What is dog daycare?

Dog daycare gives your dog a safe, supervised place to play, socialize, and burn energy during the day. Dogs are placed into groups based on size, temperament, and energy level so they can enjoy a fun, positive experience with other dogs.

What is the difference between full and half-day daycare?

Half-day daycare includes one session per day - either the morning session (starting at 9:30 AM) or the afternoon session (starting at 2 PM), available Monday through Saturday.

Full-day daycare includes both sessions.

Drop-off is anytime after 8 AM and pick-up is by 6 PM, or by 4 PM on Saturdays.

What happens if I do not pick my dog up by the end of the day?

Your dog will be booked for a boarding night if available and additional charges will apply.

Will my older dog like dog daycare?

It really depends on your dog. Many of our older guests absolutely love the social interaction and thrive in the right group setting. We separate dogs by size and activity level, so a larger, mellower older dog would be grouped with similarly calm dogs rather than high-energy pups. Our staff constantly monitors each dog's behavior and will move any dog who seems tired or overwhelmed to a quieter setting. The temperament evaluation also helps us, and you, determine whether group playtime is the right fit.

Do I need to make reservations?

No reservation is needed for daycare as long as your dog is already an active group play member. If your dog is new to daycare or group play, we do need to complete a temperament evaluation first, which must be booked in advance.

We recommend dropping off before the start of your dog’s session so they can get the most out of their day. Our morning daycare session starts at 9:30 AM, and our afternoon daycare session starts at 2 PM.

Does my dog need a fecal test?

Yes, a fecal test is  required if your dog is participating in group activities such as Daycare or Group Play, and is required every 6 months for the health of the pack. We do offer these in-house at a rate that is usually the same or cheaper than vets.

Grooming
Do I need an appointment for grooming?

Yes, appointments are required for all grooming services. Scheduling in advance allows our groomer to dedicate the right amount of time to your pet and deliver the best possible results. Please be on time, as late arrivals can affect the groomer's schedule.

Can your groomer accommodate pets with special needs?

Absolutely. Our groomer has the patience and experience to work with elderly pets, pets with disabilities, and anxious or nervous dogs. Please mention any special needs when booking so we can make the appropriate accommodations.

When should my puppy come in for their first groom?

Between 10 and 12 weeks is a great time for a puppy's first visit. It gives them a chance to get comfortable with the salon environment and become familiar with being handled by a professional groomer.

Do you offer cat grooming?

At this time we do not offer cat grooming, but hope to in the future.

How should I maintain my pet's coat between grooms?

The key is finding the right brush or comb for your dog's coat type and knowing how to use it properly. During your appointment, our groomer is happy to recommend tools and show you techniques to keep your pet looking their best at home.

How often should my pet be groomed?

It depends on your dog's breed, coat type, and desired style. Most dogs do well on a 6 to 8 week schedule, though some can go up to 12 weeks or longer. Our groomer will give you a personalized recommendation at your appointment.

How long will the grooming appointment take?

Drop-off is generally between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Most pets are ready for pick-up between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. If you need a specific pick-up time, let our groomer know at drop-off and we'll do our best to accommodate.

The groomer recommended my pet see a veterinarian - should I be concerned?

Not necessarily. Grooming involves a thorough, up-close look at your pet, and our groomer may occasionally notice something you haven't - like a skin condition or other health concern. This is one of the real advantages of professional grooming. Rest assured, your pet's health and safety are always our top priority.

Do you have a veterinarian on staff?

We don't have a veterinarian on-site, but we work closely with most area veterinary clinics. If your pet needs medical attention, we will contact your regular vet and transport your pet there or to an emergency hospital depending on the situation.

What do you do to prevent illness?

We require current vaccinations for all dogs, follow strict daily disinfecting protocols throughout all kennel and grooming areas, and our team is trained to spot early signs of illness and isolate any dog showing symptoms. Like any pet environment — vets, dog parks, groomers - some baseline exposure risk always exists, but our protocols are designed to keep it as low as possible.

Boarding
Do you provide food for my pet during their visit?

We do have dog food on hand. However, we recommend bringing your pet’s normal food from home. Keeping your pet on the same diet they are used to can help reduce the chance of an upset stomach or restroom issues.

We have a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave available and are happy to prepare your pet’s meals just as you would at home. We do not charge additional fees for meals or special diets.

Do you administer medications and what are the fees?

Absolutely! There is no charge for medications and/or supplements. Please provide detailed instructions at time of check-in.

What should I bring for my pet's stay?

We recommend bringing your pet’s regular food, treats, and any medications, vitamins, or supplements they take. You may also bring up to three toys per pen. For sanitation reasons, we provide all blankets, bedding, and food and water bowls. Please bring your pet in on a leash or in a carrier.

Does my dog need a fecal test?

A fecal test is only required if your dog is participating in group activities such as Daycare or Group Play, and is required every 6 months for the health of the pack. We do offer these in-house at a rate that is usually the same or cheaper than vets.

What do you do in case of illness or injury?

In urgent situations, we will transport your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic without hesitation. Throughout any situation, we keep you informed every step of the way.

Does my dog have to be spayed or neutered?

No, if your dog is just Boarding or Private Daycare and not participating in any group activities.

Yes, for Daycare and Group Play, all dogs must be spayed or neutered by the time they are 6 months old.

Will my pet be mixed with other pets during his/her stay?

No, unless you choose to add group activities such as Daycare or Group Play. Every pet has their own private indoor and outdoor run during boarding, and any play sessions are completely individual with one of our staff members, unless you opt into group activities.

Is your facility heated and air conditioned?

Yes, the entire facility is heated and air-conditioned to ensure all of our guests are comfortable. Temperatures are kept at 70 degrees year-round and can be monitored remotely, with high/low sensors connected to our security system in the event of any equipment malfunction.

Are your boarding fees daily or nightly?

Our boarding fees are per day. The day your pet checks in is the first day of boarding, and each day after that counts as a day of boarding. The day your pet checks out is the last day. However, if you pick up before noon, you will not be charged for that day.

Are you open on Sundays for pick-up and drop-off?

Yes, we have courtesy hours on Sundays from 2 PM to 4 PM. Please note that Sunday does count as a full day's charge.

I see that you are closed on holidays. Am I charged for those days?

Yes, your pet is in good hands even on holidays. While our front office is closed, our staff is still here providing the same attentive care every day of the year.

Do you have staff there overnight?

Our facility is staffed from 7 AM to 7 PM daily. While we don't have staff members on-site overnight, one of our managers lives on the premises and conduct a bed check around 10 p.m. each night, so your pet is never truly without oversight.

Do you have a veterinarian on staff?

We don't have a veterinarian on-site, but we work closely with most area veterinary clinics. If your pet needs medical attention, we will contact your regular vet and, depending on the situation, either transport your pet there or to an emergency hospital.

Like any pet environment, there is always some baseline exposure risk, but our protocols are designed to keep it as low as possible.

Are you able to care for older pets who might need a little help each day?

Absolutely. Our staff will gladly help elderly pets get up and moving, assist blind or deaf guests, and accommodate any special needs that come with old age. For arthritic dogs, we offer a cedar board that lines the floor of the pen for extra grip and insulation. Please mention any special needs at check-in.

My pet is particular about where he goes potty. How will you help?

We keep records of your pet's eating and restroom habits throughout their stay. If a pet won't go in their outdoor run, we take them outside to a grass area.

Are there any breed restrictions?

None at all. We welcome dogs of every breed!

Do you accept dogs that can't be handled or aren't friendly?

Absolutely. We welcome dogs of all temperaments and have established protocols to care for them safely without putting staff or other pets at risk. We have plenty of experience with difficult-to-handle dogs and regularly board police department K-9s.

How old do puppies and kittens have to be to board?

We welcome puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks, as long as their immunization series has been started and is up to date.

What vaccinations do you require?

Dogs: Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella are required. K9 Influenza and fecal tests every 6 months are recommended. We can do fecal tests in house!
